AIR QUALITY
SERVICES technicians have been working with local and
national contractors for more than 24 years. We know who trust and
how to get things done. Let us put our knowledge and experience to
work for you writing bidding documents and conducting contractor
walk-throughs. We can review the bids as they arrive and choose the
contractor who will do the best job, for the best price. Throughout
the entire abatement process, our technicians can be on site,
overseeing the removal progress, and monitoring airborne
contaminant concentrations to ensure the safety of building
occupants. Finally, AQS can conduct clearance inspections and
collect clearance air samples which will document that the work
area is safe for reoccupation.
Remediation Services - Specification Development and Bid Document
Production
AQS project designers are experts in the
science of specification development. They will work with you every
step of the way to produce a clear, concise document outlining the
work an abatement contractor needs to complete in order to get your
job done. An inaccurate or incomplete bid document can
easily lead to delays, or worse, costly change orders. Rest
assured, you can be confident that a bid document produced by an
AQS professional is as complete and accurate as possible.
- Contractor Selection and
Pre-Qualification
The experts at AQS have more than 24 years
combined experience working with local and national contractors. We
know who can get the job done, and who should not be trusted to get
abatement work done on time, under budget, and with minimal
disruption to your business. Let us select the right, qualified
contractor for your abatement job, based on the widely varied
proposals you are likely to receive, based on the bidding
process.
Someone has to organize the subcontractors
and make sure everyone gets paid on time. Occasionally
inconsistencies can creep into even the best supervised job
documents. With AQS administering your dealings with
contractors, the responsibility falls to us to make sure time and
materials applied to a job invoice are those
actually used on the job.
- Contractor Oversight and Monitoring
Independent monitoring of contractors by an
AQS Technician can mean the difference between a successful, on
time, under budget construction project and an environmental
nightmare. An AQS technician is the eyes and ears of the building
owner, continuously observing progress and ensuring regulatory
compliance.
- On-Site Analytical Services for Rapid
Turnaround
Regardless of the precautions taken by
contractors to establish safe work practices and separate a
contaminated work area from occupied areas of a building, accidents
happen. Ambient air sampling by a licensed technician provides a
picture of airborne contaminant concentrations inside and outside
the work area. This picture allows us to prevent problems before
they become problems, and establishes a written record to alleviate employee fears and concerns.
- Final Clearance Inspections and
Testing
Before a work area can be returned to a
building owner or operator it has to pass a visual inspection by an
independent entity and have proof that interior airborne
contaminant concentrations are below state mandated clearance
standards. AQS Inspectors are zealous in their pursuit of
anything which might cause a containment area to fail, knowing that
failure means potentially costly delays.
